New York-based jewellery designer and cross disciplinary artist Dawit Admasu began creating clean and organic men’s accessories in 2011, after noticing the limited options available for men who wanted staple pieces of jewellery in their wardrobe. He developed a passion for metalwork while studying with German master jeweller and artist Klaus Bergel, and implements traditional techniques in his process in order to create a product that is individual and showcases the craftsmanship involved. All pieces are meticulously created by Admasu in his New York studio, ensuring the natural elements of the materials used are consistently displayed to their best advantage. Inspiration is sourced from ancient Asian and African cultural symbols and concepts, as well as modern architecture, resulting in a diverse range of minimalist pieces that uniquely adapt to the meaning and personality of the wearer.
